"Super restaurant. I had the fish, and my wife had the duck. Really well cooked, good food, and not too fussy. If you can get a seat on the balcony, the view down the river is amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the whole experience. In a town where it is very touristy, this felt cosy and genuine. Highly recommend"

"Dined here as a party of four and we’re seated on the riverside terrace. Staff were superb from the moment we arrived and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. Our friends had booked and I would recommend doing that as it was full and busy. Food and service were excellent and you are not rushed. Full of locals ( always a good sign ) and plenty of tourists too. Staff speak good English so no issues with language barrier etc. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the riverside location was excellent."

"My parents who live near Brantome had booked a lunch time table for the six of us, which included two young children. The restaurant is lovely and positioned on the riverside with tables overlooking the river. The food was superb and when asked they did children’s portions on everything from the same menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect for us to be able to talk and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and on hand for our needs. The food was absolutely delicious. We all had three courses which were all presented beautifully, tasted great and nothing was left with all of us clearing our plates. I will certainly be returning the next time we’re in Brantome."

"This is now our go to place for the best French restaurant in town. Service and food is the best in town for the price. Best advice is book in advance. If you look at the clientele on a Sunday lunchtime you will see mostly local people which is the best recommendation for any restaurant. This is not a fast food restaurant except to spend several hours eating a very special meal at a beautiful restaurant in a very special location. We now can call this our local restaurant and feel very privileged to do so for just a few months a year."
